These 16-inch cubed trunks feature hinged lids and were distributed nationwide between 1987 and June 30, 1990. Cubes manufactured after this date have removable lids and are not affected.
The warning addresses a strangulation hazard if the lid falls on a young child's neck while they are reaching into the trunk, as well as a suffocation hazard if a child becomes trapped inside and the lid shuts.
