These products were manufactured in Taiwan and sold in 1987 by department, discount, and hardware stores.

The recall is being issued because infrequent cleaning of insect accumulation in the units, in conjunction with high-humidity conditions, can cause the product to catch fire. The company is aware of approximately 20 fires that caused property damage resulting from this device. Approximately 8,000 units were sold.
