These units were sold nationwide at The Home Depot, Walmart, and Heat Controller Inc. from January 2007 through June 2008 for between $140 and $150. The hazard involves the power connector for the compressor, which can short circuit, posing fire and burn risks to consumers.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled dehumidifier and contact LG toll-free at (877) 220-0479 to determine if their unit is included in the recall. LG will provide a free repair at an authorized service center.
