POPOOO Jungle Safari LED Finger Lights Recalled for Battery Ingestion Risk
CPSC has recalled POPOOO Jungle Safari LED Finger Lights sold on Amazon because the toys contain easily accessible button cell batteries that can cause serious injury or death if swallowed. No injuries have been reported.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a risk-of-harm product (battery ingestion in toys) where serious injury or death is possible. Although no injuries have been reported, the hazard is not merely theoretical—the structural defect (easily accessible batteries) directly creates the risk. This meets the High criteria for risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported.
Plain-English summary
CPSC has recalled approximately 62,490 POPOOO Jungle Safari LED Finger Lights. These toys are sold in sets of 24 multi-colored lights with white fingertip covers. Each finger light contains three internal button cell batteries that power projections of jungle safari characters. The lights were sold on Amazon from December 2024 through March 2026 for about $13 per set.
The recalled finger lights violate the mandatory safety standard for toys because the button cell batteries can be easily accessed by children. If swallowed, button cell or coin batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns, and can result in death.
No injuries have been reported. Consumers should stop using the finger lights immediately and remove them from children. Contact POPOOO at [email protected] for a full refund. You will be asked to remove the batteries, dispose of the finger lights in the trash, and send a photo of the disposed product to the same email address. Button cell batteries should be disposed of or recycled according to local hazardous waste procedures.
