Yamaha UMAX Bistro service vehicles carry inaccurate weight capacity certification labels

The gas models are J0G (YUM2A) with serial numbers 0000104-0601120 and the electric models are J5D (YUM2E) with serial numbers 0000116-0000230. The food and merchandise service vehicles have a four-lid ice chest and sliding features. About 1,101 units are affected in the United States, and about 75 more were sold in Canada.

The recalled vehicles have an inaccurate weight capacity certification label. According to the CPSC notice, this could result in the vehicle being overloaded, which poses an injury hazard. No injuries have been reported.

The vehicles were sold by Yamaha Golf Car dealers nationwide beginning July 2018 through May 2026.

Owners should immediately stop using the recalled vehicles and contact an authorized Yamaha Golf Car dealer to schedule a free replacement of the label.
