The lithium-ion battery in the light can overheat and catch fire, posing fire and burn hazards. The firm has received five reports of the battery catching fire or exploding. No injuries have been reported.
About 3,790 units were sold at independent bicycle retailers nationwide and online at Amazon between January 2023 and August 2025 for between $60 and $100.
Consumers should immediately stop using the light and register at knog.com/recall for a free replacement. Lithium-ion batteries should be disposed of per local and state regulations and not in household trash, and consumers should not dispose of the light until Knog confirms it qualifies.
