Portable Hook-On Chairs Recalled Due to Fall Hazard

CPSC recalls about 1,000 portable hook-on chairs sold on Amazon from September 2024 to March 2025. The crotch restraint can be removed without tools, allowing infants to fall through, violating the federal standard. No injuries reported.

What this means for you

Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.

Our severity reasoning: No injuries or deaths have been reported. The hazard is identified as a high-risk fall condition that could cause serious injury or death, but since no actual injuries are documented, the score is 3 (High) per the rubric criterion for risk-of-harm products without reported injuries.

Plain-English summary

CPSC is recalling about 1,000 portable hook-on chairs distributed by Yuanimi Trade Co. Ltd., doing business as Ravmix, of China. The chairs have a black metal frame with black or gray fabric covering, a white plastic tray, and two metal arms that anchor to a dining table. They were sold on Amazon.com between September 2024 and March 2025 for $40 to $60 each. The owner's manual identifies them as "Children's table chair" or "Model S006."

The recalled chairs pose a fall hazard because the crotch restraint can be removed without using any tools. This allows infants to fall through the opening, violating the federal standard for portable hook-on chairs. No injuries have been reported.

Consumers should stop using the chairs immediately and contact Ravmix at [email protected] for refund instructions. The refund process requires disassembling the chair, cutting the restraint straps and cloth seat, photographing the disassembled parts, and emailing the photos to Ravmix. Upon receipt of the photos, Ravmix will issue a full refund. Ravmix is contacting known purchasers directly.
