OdorStop Boot and Shoe Dryers and Deodorizers (model numbers OSBSDD2 and OSBSDD) are being recalled by the manufacturer OdorStop LLC of Hamburg, New York. These devices are used to dry and deodorize two or four boots using high-output fans and a 3-hour timer.

The heat or ozone on-off switch can short circuit, resulting in arcing that poses a fire hazard. No injuries or fires have been reported as of the recall date.

Approximately 13,000 units were sold online through Amazon.com, Odorstop.com, Lowes.com, Globalindustrial.com, and Webrestaurantstore.com from December 2018 through October 2023, priced between $100 and $130.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and contact OdorStop for a free repair. The manufacturer will install a new in-line fuse and return the product at no cost.
