LoGest Climbing Ropes Recalled for Rope Breakage and Fall Hazard

Setsmart is recalling LoGest Climbing Ropes sold on Amazon from March 2021 through November 2024 because the ropes can weaken and break, creating a fall hazard. One injury from a fall has been reported.

Setsmart LLC is recalling LoGest Climbing Ropes with Carabiners and LoGest Climbing Ropes with Heavy-Duty Metal Hooks. The ropes are made of hemp and sold in 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, and 50 feet lengths. The ropes were sold online at Amazon.com from March 2021 through November 2024 for between $20 and $70. Approximately 22,500 units were sold in the United States, with additional units sold in Canada (about 350) and Mexico (about 25).

The climbing ropes can weaken and break, posing a fall hazard to consumers.

Setsmart has received 13 reports of the recalled ropes breaking, including one report of a fall that resulted in a severe spinal cord injury. Consumers should immediately stop using the climbing ropes and uninstall them. To receive a full refund, consumers must register at www.LoGestRopeRecall.com, complete a disposal form, follow the disposal directions, and email a photo of the disposed rope to [email protected]. Amazon is contacting all known purchasers directly and will issue refunds via Amazon to the original form of payment.
