Caframo Cabinet Heaters Recalled for Electrocution Hazard

These units are black painted steel enclosures measuring 5-3/4 inches wide by 9 inches long by 3-1/3 inches high, primarily intended for keeping cabinets and parking ticket dispensers warm. A model label and serial plate are located on top of the heater near the power cord.

The crimp holding a wire in place in the cabinet heater is not properly finished and can result in the wire detaching, which poses an electrocution hazard. No injuries have been reported.

About 2,140 units were sold in the United States. The heaters were distributed online at comfortsolutions.caframobrands.com and Amazon.com, and through retail locations including Graybar Electric Co. (St. Louis, Missouri), Keystone Automotive Operations Inc. (Exeter, Pennsylvania), Hamilton Manufacturing Corp. (Holland, Ohio), and Controlled Access of the Midwest (Pleasant Hill, Iowa). Sales occurred from October 2023 through May 2024 at approximately $150 per unit.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled heaters, unplug the units, and contact Caframo Limited for repair or replacement. Caframo will provide a pre-paid shipping label for return and will either repair the unit or mail a replacement if repair is not possible.
