Hatley USA Children's Pajamas and Headbands Recalled
Hatley USA is recalling about 7,640 children's pajamas and about 300 headbands. The pajamas fail to meet federal flammability standards and pose a burn hazard; the headbands contain excess lead that is toxic if ingested.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recalled pajamas violate federal flammability standards for children's sleepwear, posing a risk of burn injury, which meets the High (Score 3) criterion for "risk-of-harm products where injury has not yet been reported." The headbands contain lead exceeding the federal ban, which is harmful if ingested by young children. The source explicitly states no injuries have been reported, preventing a higher score.
