The bacteria can enter the body if inhaled, through the eyes, or through breaks in the skin. People with weakened immune systems, external medical devices, or underlying lung conditions who are exposed face a risk of serious infection that may require medical treatment. People with healthy immune systems are usually not affected.

The recalled products were sold nationwide from December 2022 through January 2023 at online retailers including Amazon.com, and at Dollar General, Family Dollar, The Home Depot, Sam's Club, Walmart, and other major retailers for between $1 and $11. About 56,000 units were also sold in Canada. The lot code is located on the back of the bottle above the label. Affected lot codes begin with 2348US78 through 2365US78 or 3001US78 through 3023US78.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled products. To receive a refund or replacement, consumers should take a picture of the product's UPC and lot code, then visit www.fabulosorecall.com to submit a recall form. The product should be disposed of in its container with household trash without being emptied.
