Aqua Lung, of Vista, California, is recalling about 16,400 Aqualung i330R SCUBA diving computers. The wrist devices have black casings with bright color displays and two-button interfaces. Model numbers NS159000, NS159001, and NS159002 are affected, manufactured between December 2021 and February 2022.

The recalled diving computers can fail to adjust to the user's altitude and display incorrect calculations for sea level dive times at altitudes exceeding 3,000 feet. This defect poses injury risk from decompression sickness and drowning hazards. The firm has received one report of an incident in which the dive computer failed and displayed incorrect calculation, though no injuries have been reported.

The devices were sold at dive stores nationwide from May 2021 through March 2022 for between $400 and $600. Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled diving computers and contact Aqua Lung to arrange for a free repair. A software update can be downloaded through the DiverLog+ application, or the device can be brought to a dealer or local dive center for update installation.
