Plain-English summary

The Manhattan Toy Company LLC is recalling about 22,100 'Manhattan Ball' plastic activity toys due to a choking hazard. The recalled toys feature a hard plastic center ball with 12 soft plastic tubes and 7 silicone teethers threaded on the tubes. The hazard exists because the plastic tubes can detach from the center ball, releasing the small silicone teethers.

The company has received six reports of the plastic tubes detaching from the center ball. Two of these reports included a silicone teether separating from the toy, and one incident involved a child mouthing the silicone teether after it came off. The toys were sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from July 2019 through June 2020 for about $10. The 'Manhattan Toy Company' and lot code 325700EL or 325700IL are printed on the center ball.

Consumers should immediately take the recalled toy away from children and contact Manhattan Toy or return it to any Target Store for a full refund. Consumers can contact Manhattan Toy at 800-541-1345 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT Monday through Thursday, email [email protected], or visit www.manhattantoy.com and click on 'Recall Information' for more details.
