The recall involves snowmobiles sold in gray and blue with vehicle identification numbers (VIN) between 4UF8MU107JT000101 and 4UF8MU106JT000364. These vehicles were sold exclusively at Yamaha snowmobile dealers nationwide from October 2017 through June 2018 for approximately $14,600.
The passenger handgrips on these snowmobiles can come loose during operation. This defect increases the risk that a passenger could lose balance and fall, potentially resulting in severe injury. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
