Suzuki Manufacturing of America Corporation is recalling about 3,400 model year 2016 and 2017 KingQuad 750 all-terrain vehicles (ATVs). The recall involves LT-A750X and LT-A750XP models, which were sold in green, red, camouflage, and black colors. The LT-A750XP model features power steering. These vehicles were sold at Suzuki ATV dealers nationwide from September 2015 through November 2016 for between $8,600 and $9,600.
The recall is due to a hazard where the ATV's battery can fail, causing the engine to stop running while in use. This failure poses a crash hazard. Suzuki has received six reports of battery discharge or failure to restart, but no injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled ATVs and contact a local Suzuki ATV dealer to schedule an appointment for a free repair. Suzuki is sending notices directly to consumers with recalled ATVs.
