Plain-English summary

Shivvers Manufacturing Inc. is recalling approximately 450 Country Clipper riding lawn mowers, including Edge, Edge XLT, and Wrangler models. The recall was issued because the gas cap threads do not align with the threads of the fuel tank opening. This misalignment can allow fuel to leak, which poses a fire hazard.

The affected mowers are red with a gray seat, black arm rests, and either black or gray joystick or twin lever steering. The "Country Clipper" brand name and model name appear in black letters on the front under the seat and on the sides of the mower. The specific model numbers are located on a silver metal plate on the mower's side rail.

These mowers were sold at Country Clipper lawn mower dealerships nationwide from June 2015 to September 2015 for between $4,000 and $6,600. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall. Consumers should immediately stop using the lawn mowers and contact a Country Clipper Dealer to schedule a free repair. Shivvers is also contacting owners of the recalled lawn mowers directly.
