The sweaters were produced in Nepal (100 percent wool) and Bangladesh (50 percent wool, 50 percent acrylic). They were sold at independent children's stores nationwide and online from January 2010 through December 2013 for between $10 and $50.
The recall is due to a strangulation hazard. The sweaters feature a drawstring around the neck area that can become entangled or caught on playground slides, hand rails, school bus doors, or other moving objects. This poses a significant strangulation and entanglement risk to children. No injuries have been reported.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled sweaters away from children and remove the drawstring.
