The recall involves LP or NG-fueled corner units with tempered glass fronts. The specific model numbers affected are LCOR-36TRB-IPI, RCOR-36TRB-IPI, GDCL4136I, and GDCR4136I.

The back of the firebox can bow out, which poses a fire hazard. There have been two reported incidents involving charring and minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.

The fireplaces were sold at fireplace stores from March 2008 through November 2014 for $3,500 to $5,000. Consumers should immediately stop using the gas fireplaces and contact the fireplace store where the unit was purchased to arrange for a free inspection and installation of a correction kit.
