Flow Sports Recalls 2014 Flite-Series Snowboard Bindings Due to Fall Hazard

Flow Sports Inc. is recalling approximately 10,400 units of its 2014 Flite-series snowboard bindings. The recall includes models named Flite, Haylo, Micron Youth, Flite LTD, and Flite MTN. These bindings feature a snaplock lever on the rear, a cable adjustment dial on the side of the baseplate, and a matte texture finish on the baseplate. They are available in black; black and white; black, white and blue; or black, white, blue and yellow color schemes, with "Flow" printed on the side.

The hazard exists because a pin can disengage from the binding, causing it to open unexpectedly. This failure poses a fall hazard to the user. Flow Sports has received 30 reports of the pins disengaging, but no injuries have been reported.

The affected bindings were sold at Dick's Sporting Goods, EVO, SNSboards, Sport Chalet, The House, Wired Sport, Zumiez, and other stores nationwide and online from July 2014 through February 2015. The price range was between $110 and $150.
