The recalled units are cream-colored, measure about 23 inches tall by 15 inches wide by 8 inches deep, and have "Daikin" printed on the front. The model number is located on a rating plate on the lower right side of the units.

About 625 units were sold in the United States and 125 in Canada. The air purifiers were sold to consumers and online at Amazon.com from December 2010 through October 2014 for about $540. The units were distributed by Daikin AC (America) Inc. and Goodman Manufacturing Company L.P.

No injuries or fires have been reported. Consumers should immediately unplug the recalled air purifiers and contact Daikin for a full refund or a free replacement air purifier.
