Midwest-CBK LLC is recalling about 1,900 baby rattles due to a choking hazard. The recalled products are donut-shaped polyester knit fabric rattles with heads and arms designed to resemble a bear, monkey, and lion. They measure approximately 7 inches in diameter by 2 inches thick. The hang tags are printed with "Sweet-ums" and "Midwest-CBK," and a sewn-in label displays the production date 04/2013 and batch number 00001281.
The head on the rattle can detach, which poses a choking hazard to young children. The company has received one report of a rattle head detaching, but no injuries have been reported. The rattles were sold at small gift stores from July 2013 through December 2013 for about $10 each.
