The affected models include the Eagle, Shuttle, Tram, Summit, Utilitruck, and Scout. These are 36- or 48-volt electric vehicles sold by ParCar dealers for between $5,000 and $12,000.

The recall is due to a defect where the lower steering yoke can loosen where it attaches to the steering rack and pinion. This failure can cause the driver to lose control of the vehicle, resulting in a crash. No injuries have been reported in connection with this defect.
