Plain-English summary
Sportime LLC is recalling the Abilitations aDOORable swing bar due to a fall hazard. The swing bar is a white metal pole designed to be suspended in a doorway to hold a swing attachment. Two metal "S" hooks are welded to the pole for this purpose. The product was manufactured by Sporting King Co. Ltd. of Taiwan and sold by Sportime in Georgia from January 2009 through March 2011 for about $60. Approximately 600 units were sold in the United States.
The hazard exists because a welded eye hook on the swing bar can break, causing the swing to detach. Sportime has received three reports of children falling when the welded eye hook released. Two minor injuries were reported, including one report of a rug burn after falling from a swing attached to the bar.
