These bicycles were sold at authorized Specialized retailers nationwide from June 2010 through August 2011 for prices between $700 and $2,000.

The recall is due to a hazard where the brake component housed within the carbon fork can disengage. If this occurs, the brake assembly may contact the rotating wheel spokes, which poses a fall hazard to the rider. The company has received two reports of the brake component disengaging from the fork, but no injuries have been reported.
