DeVilbiss received nine reports of motors overheating, including three reports of fire damage to surrounding property. No injuries have been reported. The affected units were sold at home centers nationwide from January 2003 through December 2004 for between $199 and $299, and Craftsman-brand compressors were sold at Sears stores nationwide from September 2000 through December 2005 for between $199 and $229.
