Fun Stuff is recalling Click Armband Bracelets, Klick Klick Balls, and BoBo Balls because small balls can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children.
What this means for you
Real risk of harm even if no illness or injury has been reported yet. Stop using the product and follow the agency's guidance.
Our severity reasoning: The recall involves a choking hazard for young children, which is a risk-of-harm product where injury has not yet been reported (only a detachment incident with no medical treatment).
Plain-English summary
Fun Stuff Inc. is recalling approximately 36,700 units of Click Armband Bracelets, Klick Klick Balls, and BoBo Balls. The recalled toys are made of stretchy rubber material with hard plastic, colorful balls attached to the ends. The specific item numbers involved are FS1842 for Click Armband Bracelets, FS1734 for Klick Klick Balls, and FS1814 for BoBo Balls. These items were sold at beach resort stores nationwide between January 2009 and August 2010 for between $2 and $5.
The recall is due to a choking hazard. The small balls on the end of the toy's arms can detach. Although the toys were marketed for children age 3 and over, CPSC staff has designated these toys for children between the ages of 19 to 35 months. CPSC has received one report of a ball detaching in the mouth of a 21-month-old girl in Charlotte, N.C., which did not require medical treatment.
Consumers should immediately take the recalled toys away from young children. To obtain a full refund, consumers should return the toys to the place of purchase or contact Fun Stuff toll-free at (888) 386-7833 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
