The recall is due to a welding deficiency that can cause the frames to crack along the welds of the front triangle. This structural failure can cause the rider to lose control and crash. Niner Bikes has received 53 reports of cracks along the welds while the bicycles were in use, but the company has not received any reports of injuries.
