The recall involves stainless steel grills with the word "Kuuma" embossed on the front and model number 83726 printed on the barcode label. These grills were sold exclusively at West Marine stores nationwide from January 2009 through August 2009 for between $100 and $140.

The recall is due to a fire hazard. If the fuel container is not completely threaded on the regulator during installation, the propane tanks can leak fuel. Eastwind Industries has received three reports of fires from leaking propane tanks, which resulted in minor burns to the hands of consumers.

Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled barbecue grills. They should contact Eastwind Industries toll-free at (866) 995-8862 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT Monday through Friday, or visit www.kuumaproducts.com. Consumers will receive a new operator's manual with revised graphic installation instructions and a new tool for maintenance and cleaning of the fuel system.
