Chandra Rugs, of Adairsville, Ga., is recalling approximately 400 "Art Collection" leather shag rugs. The recall was initiated because the rugs fail to meet federal flammability standards, which poses fire and burn hazards to consumers. The affected rugs were manufactured in India and sold at furniture stores nationwide and by Internet retailers from December 2007 through May 2009 for between $280 and $615.
The recalled rugs include specific style numbers located on the rug's label: ART3601-576, ART3601-79106, ART3601-79RD, ART3602-576, ART3602-79106, ART3602-79RD, ART3603-576, ART3603-79106, ART3603-79RD, ART3604-576, ART3604-79106, and ART3604-79RD. The rugs are available in black, brown, ivory/tan, and orange/beige colors in sizes ranging from 5' x 7'6" to 7'9" x 10'6" and 7'9" Round.
No injuries or illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.
