Plain-English summary

King Import Warehouse is recalling miniature toy xylophones with item number KW20119 due to a violation of the federal lead paint standard. The surface paint on the toys contains excessive levels of lead. The recalled toys measure about 12 inches long by 5 inches wide and feature a lavender frame, a lavender mallet, and four bars in orange, yellow, green, and white.

The toys were sold at Dollar Zone "giant", Sam 99 Cent Store, and 99 Cents Mart in Texas from December 2007 through February 2008 for about $1. Approximately 144 units were distributed. The products were manufactured in China.

No injuries have been reported. Consumers should immediately take these recalled toys away from children and return them to the original retailer for a replacement toy.
