The recall involves approximately 10,200 units that were sold between September 2005 and November 2005 through heating and hardware retailers and HVAC dealers. The heaters are rectangular with a white finish and can be mounted on walls or placed on the floor. Affected units bear one of the following model numbers: RMC-LI6LP, RMC-LI10LP, RMC-LI10LPT, RMC-LI18LP-F, RMC-LI18LPT-F, RMC-LI30LP-F, or RMC-LI30LPT-F.

The recall is due to a carbon monoxide hazard. A non-specification gasket around the heating plaques could allow carbon monoxide emissions to leak into the area where the heater is being used. No injuries or incidents of property damage have been reported.
