The product was sold in discount department, drug, and grocery stores nationwide during February 2006 for approximately $10. About 50,000 of the units were purchased by consumers.
The recall is being issued because the cleansing pillows on the device can loosen or dislodge during use. Unilever has received 33 reports of pillows falling off the device and nine reports of consumers experiencing minor scratches to the skin while using the product. No serious injuries have been reported.
