Plain-English summary
Next Marketing Inc. is recalling approximately 22,000 youth hooded fleece garments with drawstrings. The recalled garments were sold in a variety of colors, and many feature the names of colleges and universities printed or embroidered on them. A sewn-in tag on the garments reads "Lil Fan" or "LF 2." The drawstrings through the hood pose a strangulation hazard to children.
The garments were sold nationwide through web retailers, college book stores, and department stores from September 2003 through December 10, 2005, for about $15. The products were manufactured in China and Pakistan. No injuries have been reported in connection with this recall.
Consumers should remove or cut the drawstrings to eliminate the hazard, or return the garment to the store where purchased for help in removing the drawstring.
