The recalled books were manufactured in Thailand and sold nationwide from May 2003 through November 2005 at national book chains, discount department stores, wholesalers, distributors, and membership warehouse clubs. The activity books were sold for about $16 and the board book for about $6. Advantage Publishers Group has received one report of a child accessing the beads, but no injuries have been reported.
