Plain-English summary

Kids II Inc. is recalling approximately 14,000 units of the Bounce Bounce Baby! Door Jumper, model number 6753. The product features a blue canvas seat with a sun, star, and bee design, blue straps, and a blue plastic clamp that attaches to an interior door frame. The name "Kids II" is printed on the plastic housing containing the clamp. Model 67531 Door Jumpers with metal clamps are not included in this recall.

The recall is being issued because the plastic clamp that attaches the jumper seat to the door frame can break. This failure can cause the unit and the child to fall to the floor, posing an injury hazard to young children. Kids II has received nine reports of the clamp breaking, including three reports of injuries involving a bruised forehead, chin, and foot.

The affected jumpers were sold at discount department and juvenile specialty stores nationwide from January 2005 through November 2005 for about $20. Consumers should stop using the product immediately and contact Kids II toll-free at (877) 325-7056 between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or visit www.kidsii.com, to receive a free replacement.
