The affected subwoofers were sold at stereo and electronics stores nationwide from June 2004 through August 2004 for about $1,180. Consumers should stop using the recalled subwoofer, unplug it, and call Polk Audio's Customer Service department at (800) 377-7655 between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. ET Monday through Friday for instructions on obtaining a replacement subwoofer or a refund.
