The products were sold at retailers nationwide from December 2003 to January 2005 for between $40 and $60.
The recall is due to a defect where the blades can weaken or break during use, specifically while making frozen beverages. Applica Consumer Products Inc. has received reports of 18 incidents of broken blades associated with this problem, but no injuries have been reported.
