The recall involves units sold at K-mart and Belk stores nationwide from September 2002 through February 2003. The SOIREE model was sold only at Belk in ivory, while the Soft n' Warm model was sold at K-mart in ivory, light blue, and hunter green. Both models were available in king, queen, full, and twin sizes for between $40 and $200.

The recalled blankets can overheat, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers, especially when the blanket is folded or bunched. Perfect Fit is aware of 44 reports of these blankets overheating, resulting in four reports of minor burn injuries. Damage to the blankets and bedding materials has also been reported.
