The black wire candleholders, which stand about 18 inches high and hold six tea-light candles in orange glass pots, were sold nationwide in Pottery Barn stores, via website, and through catalogs from August 2002 through early October 2002 for about $29 each.

The recall was issued because tea-light candles burning in the holders may flare up, creating a fire hazard and a risk of burn injuries. Pottery Barn has received 10 reports of candles flaring, including one report of a consumer receiving a minor burn from candle wax.

Consumers should immediately stop using the candleholders and return them to the store where purchased for a refund or exchange. Those who bought the items from the catalog or website should call Pottery Barn to arrange a return and refund, which includes the cost of postage.
