The recalled toy phones are multicolored flip phones featuring red, blue, and yellow bodies with green, blue, yellow, and orange dial buttons. Each button produces a specific sound, including a ring, beeping dialing tune, busy signal, or "hello." The phones were sold nationwide through Discovery Toys' sales network in the U.S. and Canada from May 1999 through November 2000 for approximately $10 each.

Consumers should stop using the toy phones immediately. Purchasers were sent direct mail notification of the recall. To obtain a free repair kit, consumers may call Discovery Toys at 800-341-TOYS (1-800-341-8697) Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM (PT) or email [email protected].
