Xanadu Candle Co. is recalling approximately 2.8 million Nature's Preserves "Home Fragrance Filled" and "Spring Hydrangea" candles. These products were sold in glass containers and included various designs such as imitation fruit, flowers, and vegetables. The candles were sold at Bath & Body Works and The White Barn Candle Co. stores nationwide from June 1999 through January 2001 for between $15 and $25.

The recall was initiated because the candles can burn with a high flame, which poses a fire and burn hazard to consumers. Xanadu Candle Co. has received seven reports of candles burning with high flames, resulting in minor burns to consumers.

Consumers should stop using these recalled candles immediately. They can return the candles to any Bath & Body Works or The White Barn Candle Co. store to receive store credit for the price of the candle and a $5 coupon, or a cash refund.
