Small Small World, of Englewood, N.J., is recalling two styles of plush rabbit toys, Natalie Nibblenose and Nickie Nibblenose, due to a choking hazard. The recall involves approximately 22,000 units of these 6-inch tall toys with movable joints and bows around their necks. The toys were sold nationwide at specialty stores from December 1999 through September 2000 for about $6 each. Sewn-on tags identify the toys as part of "THE BOYDS COLLECTION" and "MADE IN CHINA."
The hazard exists because the eyes on these toys could detach, posing a choking risk to young children. Small Small World has not received any reports of injuries associated with these toys, and the recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.
