Plain-English summary
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and The Maya Group Inc. are recalling the Tiny Love Super Car-Bar. The recall involves approximately 20,000 units of the multicolor fabric toy bar, which attaches to car seats and strollers. The specific hazard involves one of the three removable toys, a car that moves on a yellow track, which can break during use. This breakage results in a small plastic part that poses a choking hazard to young children.
The recalled toy cars were manufactured between August 1999 and January 2000 in China. The manufacturing date is indicated by a two-letter code on a white tag attached to a Velcro fastener. The toys were sold through catalogs and specialty stores nationwide from August 1999 through August 2000 for approximately $30. The Maya Group Inc. has received six reports of toy cars breaking, but there have been no reports of injuries.
Consumers should immediately remove the toy car from the toy bar. They can contact The Maya Group Inc. toll-free at (888) 521-2202 or write to Customer Affairs at 12622 Monarch Street, Garden Grove, CA 92841, to obtain a free replacement toy.
