The recalled fixtures have an eight-sided glass and brass enclosure and are marked with the number E181045 on a sticker near the base of one of the light sockets. The company has received three reports of the fixtures short circuiting, which resulted in scorch marks on ceilings, but no injuries have been reported.

The light fixtures were sold individually packaged at Wal-Mart stores nationwide from February 1998 through March 1999, and in two-packs at Lowe's stores nationwide from January 1998 through January 2000. The fixtures were sold for between $16 and $25.

Consumers should stop using these light fixtures immediately and call TSI Prime toll-free at (877) 317-9237 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday to arrange for a free replacement.
