JumpSport Recalls Trampoline Safety Net Enclosures Due to Strap Failure

JumpSport is recalling approximately 2,300 trampoline safety net enclosures. The recalled products are black netting enclosures with yellow straps on top and red straps on the bottom, featuring black buckles and black or red extension straps. These enclosures are designed to be attached to trampolines measuring 10 to 14 feet in diameter.
The recall was initiated because the straps on the bottom of the net can break. JumpSport has received two reports of children falling off the trampoline when these straps broke, although no injuries have been reported. The safety nets were sold separately at Costco, BJ's, Academy, and Bradlees stores nationwide from February 1999 to July 1999 for approximately $150 to $230.
Consumers should stop using the safety nets immediately and contact JumpSport toll-free at (888) 567-5867 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. PT, Monday through Friday. JumpSport will send consumers free replacement bottom straps. Other JumpSport trampoline safety net enclosures are not involved in this recall.
