The manufacturer, Heritage Specialty Foods, LLC, determined that employees had incorrectly labeled a limited number of "Bolognese Pasta Sauce" packages as "Homestyle Pizza Sauce." These items were shipped to retail locations in Oregon and Washington. FSIS noted that a formal recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase, but some units may remain in consumers' refrigerators.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Consumers who have purchased these items are urged not to consume them and should throw them away or return them to the place of purchase.
