The issue was identified on September 27, 2017, when plant employees performing sanitation on processing equipment notified the Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS). The products were shipped to retail distribution centers in Alabama, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, New York, North Carolina, South Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee.
