The specific product subject to recall is 8.25 oz. compartment trays of Golden Gourmet French Toast Sticks with Turkey Patty & Peaches with a Use by Date of 11/14/16. The packages bear establishment number P-21200 inside the USDA mark of inspection. Individual entrées were distributed to older adults in Georgia as part of the Meals on Wheels program.
The issue was discovered in 10-lb. bulk packages of the French toast sticks by a customer of the ingredient manufacturer, who then contacted Gourmet Culinary Solutions. The company notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and began a market withdrawal.
