The issue was discovered in 10-lb. bulk packages of the French toast sticks by a customer of the ingredient manufacturer, who then contacted Gourmet Culinary Solutions. The company notified the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) and began a market withdrawal.
