The product is being recalled due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen. The bacon bits contain soy lecithin, a known allergen, which was not declared on the product label. The issue was discovered when an FSIS inspector reviewed labels and found that a releasing agent used on contact surfaces during production included soy lecithin. The product was produced between January 15, 2015, and March 10, 2015, and bears the establishment number Est. 45361. It was shipped to other manufacturers in North Carolina and Ohio for further processing into salad kits.
